Kelly D. Farris, age 74 of Paris, passed away Saturday, August 14, 2021, at Henry County Medical Center. His funeral service will be 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 18, 2021, at McEvoy Funeral Home with Bro. John Smith of Fairview Baptist Church where Kelley was a member officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 PM Tuesday and after 11:00 AM Wednesday at McEvoy Funeral Home.
Kelley was a school bus driver for the Henry County School System for 36 years and worked with his father at Farris Amoco for 46 years. He enjoyed St. Louis Cardinal Baseball, NASCAR, Soccer, Church, and anything that involved his grandchildren. He was a 1966 graduate of E.W. Grove High School.
Kelley D. Farris was born October 9, 1946, in Henry County, Tennessee to the late Kelley W. Farris and the late Lorene S. Wilson Farris.
He is survived by a daughter, Terrey Dawn (Gerald) Tharpe of Paris; three sons: Kelley (Leslie) Farris, Jr., of Oklahoma, Jeremy (Samantha) Farris of Springville and Justin Farris of Paris; sixteen grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one sister, Janice Farris of Paris; two brothers: Terry (Donna) Farris and Rickey (Judy) Farris, both of Paris; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In addition to his parents, Kelley was also preceded in death by a sister in infancy, Annie Mae Farris.
Pallbearers will be Mike Wilson, John Farris, Steve Kuykendall, Coach “K”, Lance Winders, and Andy McBee. Honorary Pallbearers will be Paul Hyer, Jesse Wilson, and Lynn Brown.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to McEvoy Funeral Home, P.O. Box 158, Paris, TN 38242 to help with funeral expenses.
