Rachel Carolyn McNutt age 71 of Paris, died Friday, May 28, 2021, at her home surrounded by her family.
Carolyn formerly co-owned and operated A Visible Change, where she spent many years as a hairdresser. She enjoyed bowling and spending time with friends and loving her Lord and family. She was a member of Eastwood Church of Christ.
Born June 25, 1949, in Paris, she was the daughter of the late Hilton Wade Lee and Rachel June Redmon Paschall, who survives of Puryear. Carolyn was a member of the Grove High School Class of 1967.
She was married to Tommy McNutt June 22, 1967, who preceded her in death March 7, 2009.
In addition to her mother, Carolyn is survived by her daughters, Rebecca “Becky” (Jason) Coffield, and Michelle (Nate) Pierce both of Paris; a sister, Nadean Lee of Gallatin; 4 brothers, Jewell (Francis) Lee of Louisiana, David (Peggy) Lee of Waverly, James Lee, and William Lee both of Gallatin; 7 grandchildren: Jordan (Haley) Flood, Jacob (Courtney) Pierce, Jaryn (Weston) Brogdon, Cade Pierce, Zeb Pierce, Alex Coffield, and Katie Coffield; 3 great grandchildren: Carson Pierce, Maddox Brogdon, and Whit Flood; bonus daughter, Andrea Wade, and Carolyn’s special friend, Andy B. Hooper.
Additional family members surviving are sisters-in-law: Peggy (Reed) Shepherd and Sandra (Crockett) Mathis, along with several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Along with her husband and father, Carolyn was also preceded in death by a grandchild, Anna Grace Pierce, and a brother, Walter Lee.
Ridgeway Funeral Home 201 Dunlap St./ PO Box 788, Paris, TN, 38242, will be handling the arrangements. Memorial visitation will be held Thursday, June 3, 2021, at Ridgeway Funeral Home from 4-7 pm. Her memorial service will be held Thursday, June 3, 2021, at 7 pm with Roger Banks officiating.
Her cremated remains will be buried next to her husband Tommy in Hillcrest Memorial Park at a later date.
