Johnny Berry Phelps ~ Obituary

Johnny Berry Phelps, 29, died unexpectedly about 7:00 PM Thursday at his home, 207 Fairview Street, where he lived with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Phelps.

Services are planned Saturday at 2:00 PM at Fairview Baptist Church with the Rev. Richard Boyd officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery, Ridgeway Morticians in charge.

Phelps was born February 9, 1947, Henry County, the son of Charles S. and Jewell Berry Phelps. He was a member of Fairview Baptist Church, the Jaycees and had been employed in the water department of the board of Public Utilities.

Besides his parents, he leaves a daughter, Melissa Dawn Phelps of Paris, a sister, Miss Nancy Phelps of Memphis and his grandmother, Mrs. Cora Berry of Big Sandy.
