Former Paris resident and Henry County Nursing Home administrator Robert Eugene Perkins, 61, of Southaven, Miss., died Tuesday, March 27, 2007, at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis.

The body was cremated.

No service is planned. There will be visitation from 4-6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Ridgeway Funeral Home.

Born July 5, 1945, in Fulton, Ky., he was the son of Robert Edgar Perkins and Ann Murrell Perkins, both deceased. His parents were both educators and his father served as principal at Grove Junior High School, formerly of Paris.

Perkins earned his bachelor’s degree from Memphis State University. He worked as a table games dealer for Resorts International in Tunica, Miss. A Vietnam War veteran, he received the Purple Heart. He was a Methodist.

He leaves one daughter: Kristin Ann Perkins of McLean, Va.; and a sister: Ann King if Nesbit, Miss.

Southaven - ROBERT E. PERKINS, 61, games dealer for Harrah's, died Tuesday, March 27, 2007 at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, TN.

Mr. Perkins was born July 5, 1945 in Fulton, KY to the late Robert and Ann Perkins, was a Methodist, a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War, and a Purple Heart Recipient.

Visitation will be Tuesday, April 3 from 4-6:30 p.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home in Paris, TN.

He is survived by one daughter, Kristin Perkins of McLean, VA; and one sister, Ann King and her husband, Charles of Nesbit,
