| John Edward Owen John Edward Owen was the son of Ray Owen (1903 - 1974) and Doris Mikel Owen Williams (1915 - 2006). John was a City Police Officer for the City of Orlando in Florida. He had just served 2 years on the Police Force. Patrolman Owen was shot and killed by an escapee from the Tavares Road Work Camp, the suspect was also shot and killed. Officer Owen was only 24 and left a wife and two young children. John's death occurred on August 4, 1962, Orlando, Orange County Florida. Burial will be in Palestine Cemetery, Paris, Henry County Tennessee. |
