The funeral service for Paris native
Shannon Milam McCallum of Paducah will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Ridgeway Funeral Home. Ronnie Davidson will officiate. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday and after 10 a.m. Saturday. McCallum, 92, died Monday, Nov. 3, 2008, at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah. Born Sept. 18, 1916, she was a daughter of the late Lemuel Dexter Milam and Mamie Cornelia Henderson Milam. She was married on Nov. 1, 1941, to William Gradis McCallum, who died Feb. 7, 1978. A retired marketing analyst for Revlon Inc. in New York City, she also was a former department head for the Mitchum Company in Paris. She was a member of the church of Christ and former chairman of Henry County Democratic Womens Club. She leaves one daughter: Jerry (Kevin) McKellips of Paducah; a stepson: William Joseph (JoAnn) McCallum of Huntsville, Ala.; two sisters: Connie McCormick of West Virginia and Ola Campbell of Michigan; four grandchildren: Sean, Adrienne and Aaron Asbell and Codie McKellips; and three great-grandchildren: Mason, Micah and Isaac Asbell. She also was preceded in death by two sisters; and four brothers |
