| Vernon Linn Henry County native Vernon C. Linn, 67, of Marietta, Ga., died February 27, 2007, according to his sister, Martha (Tommy) Reed of Paris. His wife Brenda Connell Linn survives. They were married in November 1961. His funeral was conducted March 2 at Woodstock (Ga.) Funeral Home. John Page officiated. Burial, with military honors, followed in Georgia National Cemetery near Canton, Ga. Born May 6, 1939, he was the son of O. V. and Elizabeth Linn, both deceased. Linn was a 1958 graduate of Grove High School, formerly of Paris. He served two years in the National Guard and four years in the U.S. Navy. He retired from Sears. He was a member of Mountain View United Methodist Church in Marietta. He also leaves a daughter: Julie Linn of Marietta; a son: Kevin Linn of Marietta; one other sister: Janice Anderson of Nashville; and a grandchild: Jessica Linn of Marietta. He also was preceded in death by a daughter: Andrea Linn, in infancy. |
