| Henry County native Dathel A.
Bennett Jones, 78, of Michigan died Wednesday, April 11, 2012, at Oakwood
Hospital in Dearborn, Mich. An uncle, R.T. (Shirley) Bennett, lives in Springville. Her husband of 56 years, David Truman Jones, survives. Born March 22, 1934, she was a daughter of the late Ollie James and Alma Russell Bennett. She lived and attended school in Paris until she was 15 years old, when her family moved to Detroit. She also leaves two sons: Clifford (Wanda) and David (Christina) Jones;and five grandchildren: Jodi, Jamie, Jessica, Nicholas and Dominic Jones; one sister: Julia (Gerald) Govan; two aunts: Mary Hastings and Marie Russell, both of Michigan; and several nieces, nephews and cousins from Michigan and Tennessee. Her funeral was conducted by Don Graham Funeral Home of Detroit, with burial in Woodmere Cemetery in Detroit. |
Had Dathel remained in Paris for
high
school she would have been the
Grove Class of 1952.
