E. D. McDonald The funeral service for Emmanuel Dock McDonald of Paris will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Progressive Baptist Church in Paris, where he was a member. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-7 p.m. Thursday at Trinity Funeral Home. McDonald, 56, died Sunday, Jan. 20, 2008, at Henry County Medical Center after an extended illness. His wife of 35 years, Betty Sue Tharpe McDonald, survives. Born May 28, 1951, in Meridian, Miss., he was a son of Clarence Edward and Annie Lou Brown McDonald, both deceased. He attended Central High School and graduated in 1969 from Grove High School. He was employed at Holley carburetor plant and served in the Army National Guard. He also leaves a daughter: Angela McDonald of Paris; a son: Immanuel Dock McDonald of Paris; three brothers: Marshall Lee McDonald of Paris, Stanley Moore of Detroit and James (Theresa) Turner of Pearl Harbor, Hawaii; two stepbrothers: Donald Gage of Chicago and Gary Jones of Minneapolis; three grandchildren; and several other relatives. He also was preceded in death by a brother: Charles Edward McDonald; a sister-in-law: Gwynell McDonald; and his in-laws: Carrie and Anderson Tharpe. |
