Hallie Patricia Yarbrough Church ~ Obituary

Hallie Patricia Church, 81, of West Grove, PA, passed away on Sunday, January 27, 2013, due to renal failure.

Patricia was born in Paris, TN, to the late Ruth Allen Yarbrough and Burie Marshall Yarbrough. She was salutatorian of the 1949 graduating class from Grove High School. She married Robert D. Church on August 30, 1953, and they celebrated 40 years of marriage before his passing in 1994. Her adult life was spent in Memphis where she worked for the Department of Agriculture.

In 2003, she moved to West Grove, PA, to make her home with her niece and family.

Patricia loved cats (especially Persians), football, Tennessee and smoking. She was an avid reader, enjoying murder mysteries and biographies, and was talented at needlepoint. A sharp dresser, she was also fond of jewelry, purses and shoes. Patricia was a true Southern lady with a delightful accent and impeccable manners.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brother, Joseph Milton Yarbrough. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her niece Julia Hope Yarbrough and husband John D. Griffith; her beloved grandnephew Joseph Griffith Yarbrough; her cousin Ann Haynes of Humboldt, TN; friend Helen Griffith of Wilmington, DE; and her cat Sophie.

Services will be private. Interment will take place at Memorial Cemetery in Paris, TN.
