Former electrician Jerry Dale
Cherry, 56, of White House died of heart failure Sunday, May 30, 2004, at
his residence. Locally, he leaves his father: Ward C. Cherry of Paris, who has been named as one of the pallbearers. His funeral service is planned at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Ridgeway Funeral Home. Randy Stephens will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery. Also named as pallbearers are a nephew: Christopher Lee Cherry; Ty McCaslin, David and Hunter and Tony Lacy. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. today and after 10 a.m. Wednesday. His wife the former Margaret Hunter, survives. They were married November 24, 1966 Born in Fort Henry on July 6, 1947, he also was a son of the late Mary Earlene Tidwell Cherry, who died March 3, 2004. Cherry was formally employed with Nashville Bridge. He was a member of Ivy Point Church of Christ at Goodlettsville and a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He also leaves his mother-in-law: Dorotha Hunter of Paris; sister-in-law Marilyn (Stephen R.) Cherry; and several nieces. He also was preceded in death by a brother: Sammy Lee Cherry on July 13, 1966. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, c/o Commercial Bank, P.O. Box 1000, Paris. |
