Our 1948 classmate, Martha “Mackie” Barnett passed away on August 1, 2025 in Alabama. Our condolences to her family and friends. We were relieved to learn that there are now serious efforts underway to save the tower! There was a meeting on Aug. 21 which was well attended and supported by a number of speakers. Our 1943 classmate, Elizabeth "Lib" Phelps Gower Scott, passed away July 31, 2025 in Jackson, TN at the remarkable age of 100. Our sympathy to her family and friends. A memorial has been created for her on the FindAGrave website and linked to the Virtual Cemetery for the class of 1943.
