GROVE   HIGH  TENNIS

Last year, tennis was inaugurated as an interscholastis sport at Grove. The team played and won four games from contest, two each with Humboldt and Murray. This year a more ambitious program was undertaken successfully up to the time of going to press. On April 2nd we defeated the U. T. Junior College at Martin by the score of four to three and on the eleventh we took two out of three from the Freshman team at Murray State. Richard Dunlap, George Roe and Prentiss Leffler are called on for most of the work; Tony Currier. T.W. Doty, Russell Moore and John Province also took part.

Dunlap won the school championship in singles with Roe runner-up. Dunlap and Leffler are our chief reliances in the doubles.
