The funeral service for former Henry County Board of Education material clerk Esthalene Brown Wilson of Cottage Grove was scheduled at 2 p.m. today at Ridgeway Funeral Home.

Roy Sharp was to officiate. Burial was to follow in Walker Cemetery.

Selected as pallbearers were Jon Sharp, Jamie, Joey, Tommy, Chip and Josh Hutson, Jacob Wilson, Levi Weatherford and Grant Guinn.

Visitation was today.

Wilson, 84, died Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2010, at Paris Healthcare Center.

She was married on May 12, 1946, to Charles Wilson, who survives.

Born Sept. 30, 1926, in Hornbeak, she was a daughter of the late Archie Carroll Brown and Cleaty Elsie Treece Brown.

Wilson attended Tolerís Business College. She was a member of the church of Christ and attended Whitlock Church of Christ. A family member said she loved gardening, birds, cooking and being a homemaker.

She also leaves five daughters: Melanie (Danny) Guinn of Paris, Beth (Ricky) Weatherford of Buchanan, Jan (Roy) Sharp of Henderson, Pat (Kenneth) Thurmond of Mayfield and Peggy (Neil) Chittam of Athens, Ala.; two sons: Chuck Wilson of Cottage Grove and Bruce (Lisa) Wilson of Paris; one sister, Donna Brown Teague of Paris; a sister-in-law, Doris Brown of Ocala, Fla.;

Twenty grandchildren: Megan, Jon and Rachel (Joshua) Wyatt; Christy (Mike) Boggs; Carrie (Lance) Thorton; Jamie, Joey, Tommy, Chip and Josh Hutson; Jacob, Katelyn and Taylor Wilson; Amy (Chris) Davis; Whitney Weatherford; Levi (Mindy) Weatherford; Leslie (Kenneth) Mouser; and Emily, Grant and Morgan Guinn; and

Twenty-two great-grandchildren: Cyrus, Cora Sharp, Florine and Malakai Wyatt, Britian, Brevin, Hannah, Jack, Charly Ann and Grady Hutson, Abby, Andrew and Avery Boggs, Austin and Peyton Weatherford, Jacob Davis, Jensen Pewitt, Eli Webb, Ali Beth and Ava Denise Taylor and Lydia and Ella Mary Grace Goins.

A brother, Billy Treece Brown, also preceded her in death.
