Former Henry Countian Earline Carter Williams, 91, of South Pittsburg, Tenessee, died there on Jan. 15, 2013.

Her funeral was at 2 p.m. Jan. 19 at South Pittsburg First Baptist Church, with the Revs. Brad Bridgman and Charlie Campbell officiating. Burial followed in Cumberland View Cemetery.

Born in Paris, she was a daughter of the late William Charlie and Ruth Faust Carter, and the widow of Vaughn Williams.

She was a graduate of Grove High School, Class of 1939, and Toler’s Business College. She retired as executive administration secretary at TVA Widows Creek Steam Plant.

Survivors are one daughter: Janet W. LaFave of Athens, Ga.; one son: Johnny (Freeda) Williams of Knoxville; one sister: Pauline Spaulding of Paris; one niece: Dixie Spaulding Hines of Paris; three grandchildren: Donald E. “Trey” Lafave III of New York City, Terri (Rick) Ogle and Melissa (Randy) Rinehart, both of Knoxville; three great-grandchildren: Derrick Rinehart, Greg McGill and Carla Carter; three great-great-grandchildren: Jeremy and Emma Carter and Lexi McGill; and special friends and caregivers.

A son-in-law, Don E. LaFave Jr., also preceded her in death.
