|A graveside service for former
Paris resident Thyra Delle Story Provine of Dresden was set at 11 a.m. today
in Puryear City Cemetery. Visitation was Monday at Bowlin Funeral Home in
Provine, 93, died Sunday, Feb. 26, 2012, at Weakley County Nursing Home in Dresden.
Born Aug. 17, 1918, in Stella, Ky., she was a daughter of the late Siegel and Hontas Enoch Story. She was married in 1939 to Edgar Provine, who died in 1972.
She was a 1936 Grove High School graduate. She was a member of First Baptist Church, where she served as secretary.
She leaves a daughter: Paula (Tommy) Thomas of Dresden; a son: Marshal (Deborah) Provine of Olive Branch, Miss.; four grandchildren: Jinny (Scott) Killebrew of Dresden, Molly Martin and friend Ryan Morrow of Knoxville, Lindsey Provine of Greenville, Miss., and Matthew Thomas of Memphis; and five great-grandchildren: Callen and Caroline Killebrew, Lauren Martin and Ashlyn and Hayden Dale.
A brother, Glenn Story, and a sister, Sue Story Hart, also preceded her in death.
Memorials may be made to the Dresden First United Methodist Church building fund.
