Edith N. Pickard, 80, of 301 Glenhaven Road, a former school teacher in Henry County in the old Hunt, Delno and Mansfield schools, died at 11:50 a.m. Tuesday, June 5, 1990, at Henry County Medical Center.

The funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Friday at McEvoy Funeral Home with John Dale of Murray officiating. Burial will be in Walker Cemetery. Visitation will be 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday.

Named as pallbearers are Lewis, Harold Sr., James, Paul Doug and
Archie Jackson; Scottie and Tommy Harding and Blain Olson.

Mrs. Pickard was born August 23, 1909, in Henry County, daughter of the late Rueben Fisher Nance and Sarah "Sadie" Jackson Nance. She was married March 4, 1933, to Francis Mitchell Pickard, who survives.

A member of East Wood Street Church of Christ, she was retired from Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, Michigan, as supervisor of housekeeping. The Pickards retired to Paris in 1970.

In addition to her husband she is survived by a sister, Nelle Silvey of Iowa Falls, Iowa. Another sister, Sue Belle Nance, preceded her in death.
