Peggy J. McGuire

The Paris Post-Intelligencer, Paris, TN, Monday, September 25, 2000

Services were conducted at 2:30 PM Sunday at Ridgeway Funeral Home for Peggy Jean McGuire of Paris. Tom Cary officiated. Entombment followed in Rose Lawn Mausoleum. Visitation was Saturday and Sunday.

Chosen as pallbearers were Randy Reid, Jimmy Wiles, Beau Van Dyke, Johnny McGuire, Junior Speights and Jeff Brewer.

Mrs. McGuire, 63, died Friday, Sept 22, 2000, at Henry County Medical Center.

Born Dec 22, 1936, in Puryear, she was a daughter of Mary Snow Van Dyke of Paris and the late James Edward Van Dyke. She was married July 7, 1956, to Lowell Thomas McGuire, who survives.

A Methodist, she retired from the Holley carburetor plant in Paris when it closed in 1987.

In addition to her mother and husband, she leaves a son, Larry McGuire and wife Carolyn of Yuma;

One sister, Joyce Brewer and husband Buddy of Paris; two brothers, Dale Van Dyke and wife Ruth and Charles Van Dyke and wife Pam, all of Paris;

One granddaughter, Tara McGuire of Paris; and her mother-in-law, Ruby McGuire of Paris.
