Funeral services for Mrs. Marjorie Clary Herndon, age 82, will be held on Tuesday, January 12, 2010, at 1:00 p.m at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home conducted by Dr. Trent Bullock and Rev. Larry Simmons both of First Baptist Church, where she was a member.

Marge passed on to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ quietly at her home in Paris January 8, 2010.

Born March 12, 1927 in Paris, she was the daughter of the late Dewey and Lily Moore Clary. She was a beloved wife, a loving mother and a wonderful friend. Marge will be remembered for her gentleness, kindness, generosity of spirit, delightfully warm sense of humor and most of all, her love for her family and for God.

She graduated from Grove High School and attended the University of Tennessee at Martin. Many years later she attended the University of Texas at Dallas.

Marge is survived by her husband of 64 years Jim Herndon of Paris; her son: Michael of Dallas, Texas; her grandchildren Elizabeth and Isabel and daughter-in-law Kelly Herndon all of Dallas; sisters, Dell Keepers of Columbia, Missouri and Muriel Williams of Princeton, West Virginia. In addition to many, many special friends whose lives she touched, she leaves special caregivers: Dottie Ritchie, Mary Ballard, Sherry Kilpatrick, Patricia Buie and Shauna Craig.

Friends may visit with the family Monday at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association Greater Dallas Chapter 4144 North Central Expressway Suite 750, Dallas Texas 75204, in Memory of Marge and to honor Jim.
