Services for Allen Hamlet Clark, 58, of 816 East wood Street will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at McEvoy Funeral Home, with B. B. James of Paris and Kenneth Mizell of Manchester officiating. Burial with military rites will be in Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation is 1 to 8:30 p.m. today.

Named as pallbearers were David Bomar, Jack Thompson, Kenneth Roberts, Roland Parkhill, Carter Hayes Oliver and Wallace Parker.

Clark, a retired U.S. Navy Lieutenant, died Monday, January 23, 1989 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.

He was born January 8, 1931, in Henry County, son of the late William Barton Clark Sr. and Mary Louise Allen Clark. He was married September 12, 1951, to the former Ava Sue Nichols, who survives. He was a member of the Church of Christ, Disabled American Veterans (DAV), Sons of Confederate Veterans, Military Order Stars and Bars and the American Legion.

In addition to his wife, survivors include two daughters, Beth Velazquez of San Diego, California and Barbara Ballard of Warrenton, Virginia; three sons, Dr. Ben Clark of Bethesda, Maryland, Bob Clark of Miami, Florida and Brian Clark of Miami, Florida; two sisters, Joy Gates of Pahokee, Florida and Mary Moon of Paris; two brothers, Dan Clark of Alexandria, Virginia and Sam Clark of Prince Frederick, Maryland, and five grandchildren.

Another brother, Bill Clark, Preceded him in death in 1957.
